[IRCA] TP DX in Seattle on October 7

TP reception was somewhat OK today. A couple of the regulars had brief periods of good reception. The North Koreans on 657 and 819 made cameo appearances, along with a carrier on 873 that was lost in the KIXI splatter. JOUK-1503 put forth a compelling effort just after 1400, along with a handful of interesting high-band carriers, such as 1458 and 1557.

KRKO-1380 still has its IBOC turned off, allowing carriers on 1377 and 1386 to poke through. Unfortunately, they weren't strong enough to produce audio.

JOAK-594 continues to be much weaker for me than it is for others, for reasons I can only guess at.

Electrical noise is noticeably worse this season, affecting some stations more than others. JOIB-747 has been received with a reasonably good carrier but with the audio buried in a loud buzz that only affects a narrow part of the band near 750.

GOOD
774 JOUB, 1326 English lesson, man in Japanese, woman talking about autumn foliage, then back to man in Japanese mentioning Louis Armstrong. Nice signal. 972 HLCA, 1200 pips, fanfare, excited Korean male. 1256 phone interview. Still producing weak audio 1419. 1566 HLAZ, mostly fair-poor today but rose up to nice level with hymn 1320

FAIR
819 DPRK, forceful woman in Korean 1202
828 JOBB, Japanese male 1227
1503 JOUK, Japanese man 1405

POOR
594 JOAK, weak talk 1219 with a surprising amount of 590 splatter
657 DPRK, bits of talk 1211
693 JOAB, English lesson 1214 in CBU splatter
864 Very weak talk 1211, sounded like man & woman
981 CNR1, Chinese talk 1307 in CKNW splatter
1053 jammer 1244
1134 KBS, weak deep voiced man 1351
1323 very faint talk 1401
1422 male talk in splatter 1408
1575 weak talk 1355
