Hello All,
Asian results here this morning were almost identical to those reported by Dennis in Kalama as the low band TP's got the best of the propagation. Both the Japanese and Korean big guns were unusually potent, with 747-JOIB at a strong enough level to completely escape the 750-Portland splatter (a very rare event here).
The session started off with a bang at 1250 as 594-JOAK was already in at a very good level with Japanese conversation, along with 693-JOAB, 747-JOIB, 774-JOUB and 828-JOBB. 531-JOQG made its first appearance of the new season at a fair level with Japanese conversation // 594 around 1253, while 657-Pyongyang got in its first good tirade of the season at 1312 (good strength that is, not good programming). 603-HLSA was at a steady fair level from the 1250 start time until sunrise enhancement wrapped up around 1355, while 738-BEL2 was also in and out with fair signals (through KCBS splatter) for most of the session. At times 603-HLSA had a weak Chinese co-channel, and 657-Pyongyang also seemed to have weak Chinese competition at various times (September is the peak month for 657-Henan to make an occasional appearance here). Both 693-JOAB and 747-JOIB were strong enough around 1345 to completely escape the domestic splatter from Vancouver and Portland-- the first time such an event has happened in years. Best signal of the morning was from 747-JOIB at 1311, with excellent-strength English lessons completely in the clear.
