Indeed it was good! I listened from 1245 until 1320 -- some armchair S9 signals on 747, 828, 864, 972, 1053, 1566, 1575, etc

Hello All,

The Asians sounded pretty energetic this morning as propagation improved significantly over yesterday. Many Japanese and Korean big guns were already vibrant in the total darkness around 1230, while several other TP's received a decent sunrise enhancement boost after 1300.

At the 1230 start time the band already featured good signals in and out from the Japanese big guns on 594, 693, 747, 774, 828 and 1287, along with very good Korean signals from 972-HLCA, the 1053-Jammer and 1566-HLAZ. 1575-VOA was also fairly strong around this time, but took a dive just before daylight. Around 1258 (just before daylight) 738-BEL2 managed weak audio with Chinese talk, and it was in and out at this level until around 1329 when it hit a fair peak-- its best audio of the new season. 603-HLSA and 657-Pyongyang also benefited from a sunrise enhancement boost to reach fair levels, and Chinese was heard for the first time on 936 this season (presumed Anhui) around 1328. Best Asian signals of the morning (all very good) were from 1566-HLAZ around 1235, 972-HLCA around 1258 and the 1053-Jammer around 1315. Overall it was probably the best Asian morning of the new season so far, with decent propagation from Japan and Korea both before and after sunrise.

738 BEL2 Penghu, Taiwan Fair-level Chinese YL speech during call-in talk program; best level of the new season so far
