[IRCA] TP 19 Mar, Victoria version

Definitely a step backwards this morning, right from 1200UT through sunrise. Just not the zip of previous days.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK man and woman in JJ 1358UT
972 HLCA woman in KK 1356UT.
1566 HLAZ. JJ s/on, IDs, "What a Friend I Have in Jesus" on piano 1230UT; CC broadcast later never got to this level

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1287 JOHR. Two men in JJ 1227UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

828 JOBB. Man w/ wx forecast //774 1301UT
1503 JOUK. Woman in JJ, NHK1 interlude mx 1353UT
1575 VoA? Man SE Asian language 1358UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

567JOIK? Woman talking, JJ inflection, 1239UT
738 Tahiti? Woman talking FF inflection, 1203UT
747 JOIK? man talking, JJ? No //, 1329UT
891 unID. Traces of mx not //594 1356UT
1386 JOQC? Only NHK2 delivering audio at 1320UT, pretty ragged but man talking had the cadence of "JOQC, NHK...." Certainly Morioka is best placed to send a signal to Victoria (its sister city in Canada by the way)
1422 JORF? Man talking in splash, maybe JJ, 1329UT
1512 unID. Man talking 1355UT, Tagalog?
1593 CNR1/NHK2 mix of pips on the hour 1400UT, CNR1 news sounder noted a couple of times in the next couple of minutes
1602 NHK2. Pips at 1400UT. Thanks to Bruce Portzer for pointing this out.

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

936 1008 1116 1242 1251 1314 1323 1332 1476 1494

best wishes,

Nick
