[IRCA] TP 23 Dec, Victoria version

Actually pretty lively here from 1300UT onwards with some second tier Japanese even. Not too much exciting between 1400UT and a brief upper band enhancement around 1600UT featuring 1575 as Bruce observed

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

828 JOBB end of EE lessons 1259UT, pips on hour, all very clear
1575 VoA woman in SE Asian language 1548UT, and big at 1600UT with Voice of America ID in EE by man

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK woman in JJ and pips 1300UT, mention of NHK by man
747 JOIB many appearances, but at its best here w/ s/off mx box 1543UT, the big one among the NHK2 stations

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

693 JOAB woman in JJ //774 1425UT, as CBU let up the unrelenting splatter for a moment.

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

567 JOIK man talking 1259UT , not //594 (regional nx at 1255UT is listed), then pips, and man talking after hour seemed //594
666 JOBK man talking //594 1403UT
891 JOHK man talking //594 1349UT
1053 KK jammer 1352UT
1557 Taiwan? woman singing 1554UT, best on N. Flag

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

639 648 738 837 846 864 873 1287 1386 1422 1494 1593

best wishes,

Nick
