Whew.....the band wasn't too bad between 13 and 1400UT, at least
according to the recorder, then it got pretty laid back until after
1500UT. At around 1515UT, the upper part of the band went bananas,
and I spent way too much time this evening going over about 6 minutes
of recording, because by 1530UT, it was mostly calm again, though at
1540UT, 1593, 1566 972 and 1575 were all doing well again, and even
some fuss from 1314.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
603 HLSA slow piano mx, jazzy sax, man in KK 1500UT, faded up rapidly
from nearly inaudible pips on the hour; way better on west Flag;
upper band favored the north Flag
774 JOUB EE lessons 1347UT
1566 HLAZ woman in CC at 1517UT, but at other times too. Still
fairly readable at 1644UT
1593 CNR1 man and woman in CC 1521UT, noted //6125 various times
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
the above, passing through
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
567 JOIK man in JJ 1347UT //594 which wasn't doing as well
639 CNR1 woman in CC 1523UT //6125
972 HLCA man and woman in KK at, um, 1640UT, best strength that I heard...
1116 CNR5? woman in CC, then mx w/ man talking over it, 1514UT
1287 JOHR woman in JJ 1457UT
1314 JOUF woman in fast paced JJ 1514UT
1386 NHK2 synchros chimes finishing 1514UT, then man in apparent KK
took over, presumed HLAM, never logged here before
1494 JOYR? woman and man in JJ, not //1287, better on N. Flag, 1520UT
1575 VoA? woman talking SE Asian language 1510UT, but something else
was trying to get through also.
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
594 JOAK noted as //1503 and 567, but never got above this
level. Note the levels of the JJ big guns this morning.
747 JOIK EE lessons //774 1341UT
828 JOBB EE lessons //747 1344UT
1269 JOHW likely, woman in JJ //1287 1458UT
1278 man in CC 1517UT best on N. Flag
1332 JOSF? woman talking JJ inflection 1515UT
1377 CNR1 woman then man in CC //6125 slightly offset 1515UT
1422 ? man talking, too much splash to make sense of it, though quite
strong 1520UT
1467 ? man talking, KK inflection?? 1517UT
1503 JOUK man and woman talking 1526UT //594
1557 Taiwan? laid back vocal mx 1517UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
558 873 945 1089 1098 1323 1404 1458 1539 1548 1584 1602
best wishes,
Nick
