[IRCA] Alberta TP/DU for 29 Oct 2013

    A big step up from yesterday, but pretty much only for Japan, and 
especially on the lower half of the band.  The Chinese don't seem to be 
getting into Alberta very well this season for some reason.   Apart from 
the audio listed below lots of carriers, quite a number at the 
near-audio level.


558 unID  Traces of audio at 1402.

567  JOIK  Sapporo, Japan  Fair-good signal noted at 1238 tune-in.

585  JOPG  Kushiro, Japan  Poor audio first noted at 1325.

594  JOAK  Tokyo, Japan   Good signal for the whole session.

639  unID  Traces of audio at 1346.

666  JOBK  Osaka, Japan   In and out over the whole listening session, 
it's best performance of the season.

693  JOAB  Tokyo, Japan  Solid signal right from 1238 tune-in. 
Rivalling 774 for the strongest signal of the morning.

702  NHK2  Poor-fair audio at 1240, virtually no trace, even a carrier, 
from the off-freq North Korean today.

729  JOCK  Nagoya, Japan  First audio from this one this season, noted 
at 1358.

738 unID  Traces of audio at 1346, but too weak in 740 splatter to ID.

747  JOIB  Sapporo, Japan  Good, but not quite as strong as 693 and 774.

774  JOUB  Akita, Japan  Once again the best signal on the band today, 
solid for the whole listening session.

819 - Traces of audio from the presumed North Korean at 1355.

828 JOBB  Osaka, Japan  No audio at all at 1238, but came up to good 
level by 1300, and stayed that way for the next hour.

873 JOGB  Kumamoto, Japan   Joined the party late, with no audio until 
1408, right at the end of the session.

927  unID    traces of man speaking at 1402.

972  HLCA  Dangjin, S. Korea   No audio at 1238, but good by 1300.

1116  unID  The barest of audio traces at 1351.

1287 JOHR, Sapporo, Japan    In and out with poor-fair audio from 1300 
to 1410.

1566  HLAZ  Cheju, S.Korea    Didn't reach audio until near 1300, but 
generally good after that.

1575 VOA Thailand    After a couple of no-show days, a solid signal 
again today, though it didn't show up until 1325.
