As others have already noted, the mid-October anomaly this
morning. I did spend a little time with the recording, and found a
couple of things that weren't obvious at first glance, but they were
brief signals above the crud.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
expecting a bit much.....
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
774 JOUB man in JJ 1410UT, someone underneath also
972 HLCA sing along time in the studio, just for me, choral
accompaniment with recorded music 1340UT, then man in KK; other times
at lesser level
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
1575 likely VoA; SE Asian language by woman; mess of at least two
smeared carriers on channel, and someone else about 43Hz low.
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
594 JOAK woman talking JJ inflection? 1415UT and other times
693 JOAB man talking 1352UT //774
738 Taiwan Fisheries laid back vocal pop mx, 1349UT ; pretty sure it
matched the cached audio on the station's website
828 JOBB man in JJ //774 1410UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
747 846 1188 1242 1287 1314 1323 1422 1503 1566
best wishes,
Nick
