This season, I've been using a spreadsheet to keep track of the Asian
stations I've been receiving.
I've been listening daily since September 8. For each day since then,
I've given three points to stations I report as "good", two points to
stations reported as "fair", and one point to stations reported as
"poor". For example, a station that was heard with a good signal every
one of the 35 days since Sept 8 would receive 105 points. Here are the
stations that have the highest scores so far this season:
972 (KBS) 78 points
774 (JOUB) 73
747 (JOIB) 71
1566 (HLAZ) 69
693 (JOAB) 55
1575 (VOA) 54
594 (JOAB) 51
1053 (Jammer) 49
981 (CNR) 46
963 (CRI) 35
828 (JOBB) 31
After that, the next highest score is 21 points. Many frequencies had
scores in the 14-21 range: 945 1017 1206 567 1287 738 1134 1323 1035
657 819 756. A few of those are "composite" scores for two or more
separate stations: 1134 and 756 for sure, possibly 738 too.
My best days for TP DX were September 14 and October 6, both of which
received 62 points. Runners up were Sept 16 (55pts), 29 (53), and 30 (52).
The worst days here were October 2 3 4 and 9 with 1-2 points each.
I don't think there are too many surprises in the above listing, which
mainly quantifies some of my subjective impressions.
Bruce
