I'm not sure what caused it, but mid-October anomaly for sure today;
there were traces of NHK2 around 1340UT and 1348UT in Victoria, but
the bulk of the limited entertainment was after 1400UT
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not today
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
747 JOIB CC lessons 1403UT
774 JOUB CC lessons 1408UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
972 HLCA man in KK briefly at 1454UT, actually the best of the
morning; didn't stick around for the top of the hour
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
567 JOIK woman w/JJ inflection 1352UT //594
594 JOAK man w/JJ inflection, various times from 1350UT
612 4QR laid back talk from woman 1414UT, then man talking, very poor
but matched 4QR webstream
828 JOBB woman and man CC lessons //774 1410UT
891 JOHK presumed NHK pips on hour 1400UT, also JJ inflected talk 1413UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
738 945 981 1017
best wishes,
Nick
