The morning started out as absolutely horrible, but eventually improved
to "not very good".
As Gary noted, there wasn't much activity until just before 1400, but
signals never rose to the levels he had. A couple of the usual
powerhouses had somewhat ok audio for a few minutes. Otherwise, there
wasn't a lot to hear.
Despite the sub-par conditions, I was able to hear TP audio on both
sides of KJR-950.
Good reception
How I wish
Fair reception, all too briefly
747 JOIB, KK lessons surfaced for a minute or two 1402, otherwise
trace audio at best
972 KBS, not much of anything until 1357 w/woman in KK, faded across
ToH, then back for a while after 1402 w/more talk
Unintelligible
594 JOAK, audio traces 1259, weak pips 1300 then faint talk
693 JOAB, faint pips 1300, bits of talk followed. Nothing else for
the next hour until language lessons surfaced 1308
774 JOUB, 1305-1412 a few syllables now and then during weather
report and language lessons
945 weak female, sounded Chinese 1410
954 weak JJ talk 1411, KJR somewhat cooperative by not having much
audio above 4 kHz at the time
981 a few syllables during pauses in CKNW splatter 1412
1323 a few bars of the CRI theme mx 1400
1566 faint mumbling in the splatter 1342
