I'm a little surprised that the ALA1530 seems so wimpy, Les. I use a
similarly sized loop with an ALA100 amplifier (not recommended by the
manufacturer), and it puts out more than enough signal for domestic
DXing with bonus high power trans-Pacifics, and pretty darn good LW
performance (i.e. not much electrical noise). Have you discussed
this with Wellbrook?
best wishes,
Nick

I'm interested in hearing reviews and opinions from any broadcast

Not interested in re-igniting the Wellbrook Vs. Pixel RF1-B Loop
debate but rather want to focus on this product.
My only use for this antenna would be AM Broadcast DXing, so
performance on SW, ham bands, etc. is not a factor. In the interest
of full disclosure, I already own a Wellbrook 1530, but I find it's
performance to be only "so-so" for AM DX. Signal levels are
generally low, even with the preamp.
Opinions?
