[IRCA] TP Lions Bay BC 21 Sep 2013

Hi all - After a couple of very lacklustre days here, things picked up considerably this morning. From this location Japan is very strong in general, but I struggle with the DU's. Korea has good to very good propagation from time to time, and China is picking up.

1. Clearly understandable strong audio with reasonably long stretches of readability so content could be understood by a native speaker.

The strong regulars on 774, 747, 828, 1566 and 972 were booming in at 13:17.

2. Clearly understandable audio for short periods of time, understandable by a native speaker.

567 JOIK Sapporo 13:21 Woman speaking in animated JJ
738 UNID at 13:28 , but suspect Hunan RGD or Jilin RGD, looking at the propagation path. CC male and female in conversation
963 CRI Huadian woman speaking presumed RR, into light pop mx with EE vocals
1287 JOHR Sapporo 13:39 Man speaking, lots of fading down to almost unintelligible at times and up to good strength by 13:41
1575 VOA Ban Phachi 13:42 Woman in SE Asian language

3. Some understandable audio due to low signal strength, or fading. Most words would likely have been recognizable to a native speaker.

639 CNR1, likely Beijing 13:24 CC woman and man speaking, music program underneath taking over at times.
873 JOGB 13:33 Kumamoto female speaking in JJ, then mixing with music and male speaking in CC (Harbin?)
1143 JOBR 13:39 Kyoto - 2 stations, 1 with FF speaking rapidly, other with music interludes. 1 in JJ, other likely CC (Baisha, Taiwan?)

3. Barely understandable audio. Some words might have been recognizable to a native speaker.

585 JOPG 13:22 Kushiro maybe //567, sounded like a play, JJ man and woman

Thanks!

Michael
