[IRCA] TP 12 Sep; Victoria version

Sort of agree with everybody.....not quite as Chinese this morning, yes there was some DU, and yes, pretty interesting overall.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

279 R. Rossii RR man singing country mx (no kidding), w/steel guitar, and chorus refrain...1322UT
594 JOAK oriental female vocal 1243UT followed by man in JJ
774 JOUB not quite sure how much louder the call letter ID at 1320UT could be...then into EE lessons
1287 JOHR woman in JJ 1336UT
1566 HLAZ woman in JJ o/male vocal mx 1327UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

828 JOBB man w/wx in JJ 1314UT
972 HLCA woman in KK 1313UT
1053 KK jammer 1314UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

603 HLSA instrumental mx 1259UT into chimes and pips on the hour
738 Tahiti man in FF 1329UT
1017 CRI woman in KK 1326UT
1503 pop mx 1330UT, not //594 and not in R. Sport archive
1701 Islamic Voice R.??? AA vocal briefly at 1334UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

189 R. Rossii woman talking amid mx 1310UT //279
558 HLQH slow female vocal, just traces in the splash 1302UT, but enough for //603
567 JOIK man talking //594 1325UT
612 4QR? woman talking, sounded DU EE 1321UT
693 JOAB man w/wx broadcast //828 1315UT
864 unID, man / woman talking
891 JOHK man talking then woman //594 1311UT
945 CNR1 man talking 1254UT, followed by slow instrumental mx
981 CNR1 man talking 1255UT, sounding CC?, following instrumental mx, and //945, leading slightly
1044 woman talking maybe JJ inflection; if so CRI? 1242UT
1143 Taiwan? pop mx, woman talking quickly, CC inflection 1339UT
1242 woman talking 1341UT JJ inflection

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

873 936 963 1008 1161 1179 1197 1251 1323 1575 1593 1611 1629 (very messy) 1683

best wishes,

Nick
