As Dennis has also reported, 1575-VOA in Thailand was easily audible on barefoot Ultralight radios here in Washington state this morning.

Its signal on the barefoot Tecsun PL-380 here in Puyallup, WA (using only the 3 inch internal loopstick) was pretty potent, to boot. This was the first time that it had ever been heard here on a barefoot Ultralight radio, and at 7,195 miles, broke the record for barefoot portable DX reception here (surpassing the reception of 1134-Croatia at 5,160 miles in October of 2009)

Hello All,

For those able to grab any kind of radio in the Northwest, 1575-VOA in Thailand had its best-ever signal here in Puyallup at 1425 this morning (0625 PDT), easy audible on a barefoot Tecsun PL-380 Ultralight (at 7,195 miles). This was the first time it had ever been heard on a barefoot Ultralight here, and the signal was pretty vibrant on the $50 radio.
