First time back at the dials here after a hiatus in distant parts of
the world. Conditions were interesting and all over the place. Lots
of splatter, but a fair number of signals from time to time also,
though mostly not very strong.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
nothing really
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
972 HLCA? pop mx 1432UT, but also noted at 1543 with similar
programming, and still fading up w/talk at 1619UT, but disappeared
shortly afterwards.
1287 JOHR 1510UT man in JJ; other times also, and still fading up
well after 1600UT
1476 the morning mystery. Continuous instrumental classical mx,
first noticed 1430UT, and reasonably consistent to past 1530UT, but
of course, faded down on the hour
1503 JOUK man in JJ at 1529UT, //weaker 594
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
594 JOAK man talking //567 at 1441UT, still making appearances just
before 1600UT, faded down, but pips were still audible
774 JOUB plucked instrumental mx, then woman talking //828, 1438UT
1566 HLAZ? woman talking at 1544UT
1575 VoA? female vocal pop mx 1529UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
567 JOIK woman talking //594 1441UT
639 man talking 1542UT, may have been //6125 but hard to tell; if so CNR1
756 man talking 1544UT, not //6125. Korea?
828 JOBB plucked instrumental mx, then woman talking //774, 1438UT
945 CNR1? woman talking 1439UT, seemed //6125?
1098 man talking 1548UT, no idea.
1323 man mumbling in splash 1501UT
1467 NHK2?? woman talking, 1459UT, seemed //774, but not 100% sure
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
558, 702 rough carrier, 837, 1143, 1269, 1494, 1548, 1584
best wishes,
Nick
