A couple of interesting radio happenings. No audio from Tahiti this morning despite being heard last night at 0523 utc.
Japanese powerhouse stations still with audio at 1530 utc. No second tier stations this morning on MW. 8 MW stations this morning, Last year on this date 12 MW stations were heard. Listed below. 1534 utc music heard on 1476 fair at times. Instrumental music.  

153   RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1248-1252 fair signal with music & Russian talk. NW-ewe. 10/28/2012

189   RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1255 fair signal with above music. HPAW. 10/28/2012

209   ALASKA, Yakataga CYT 1256 very weak with weather forecast. HPAW. 10/28/2012

279   RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1258 good signal with pop music. NW ewe. 10/28/2012

529   ALASKA, SQM Level Island 1305-1311 weak signal with weather forecast. W-SW ewe. 10/28/2012

594   JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1313 weak signal with man in Japanese. 1427 Good signal. Still around with weak signal at 1514 W-SW ewe. 10/28/2012

693   JAPAN, JOAB NHK2 1428 fair signal at times with slow talking man in Japanese. W-SW ewe. 10/28/2012

774   JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 1317 weak signal with man in Japanese. Fair signal at 1515 with music. W-SW ewe. 10/28/2012

828   JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 1345 fair signal with man in Japanese. Very weak signal at 1516. Fair signal at 1522. W-SW ewe. 10/28/2012

972   REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLCA weak to fair signal with man in Korean. W-SW ewe. 10/28/2012

1053  REPUBLIC OF KOREA, 1319 jammer with weak signal with moderate splatter. 1028/2012

1575    THAILAND, VOA 1433 weak to fair signal with woman in Asian language.
