Clearly I picked a bad day to sleep in!

The HF bands are lit up with CQ WW contesters
(which I am also ignoring...)

Funny aside: I do not watch much TV (really I don't)
but on the opening sequence of "The X-Factor" - featuring
Simon Cowell and Britney Spears... there was a shot of the
rising Sun coming up over Los Angeles...
and the Sun had a massive sun spot on it - clearly visible
on my flat screen TV.

I wondered how many other TV watching radio enthusiasts noted this.

Anyway - another day tomorrow.
