Listened from 1158-1425 utc.  No long waves this morning and only 5 Japanese powerhouse stations heard. 5 suspected DU unknowns heard 603,657,792,1323 & 1575. NZR National on 567,4RN 792,5AN 891 and Tahiti 738 caught with reasonable audio. With A 35 & K 5 surprised that the Japanese powerhouse stations were heard. 


567    NEW ZEALAND, NZR national 1339-1342 mostly weak, fair at times with man/woman talking about art. Matched live stream audio. 4.5 kHz filter for reception. 1356-1358 still around with weak signal. W-SW ewe. 10/09/2012

594    JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1301 poor signal with man/woman in Japanese. W-SW ewe. 10/09/2012


603    UNKNOWN, 1412-1418 poor to very weak signal with instrumental music. Talk at 1416 in ? Splatter free channel with some static. Gone by 1418.  

657    UNKNOWN, 1237-1239 weak signal with heavy splatter for about 2 minutes before fading out. Music did not seem // 3250 DPRK shortwave outlet. Guessing "Southern Star? W-SW ewe. 10-09/2012


693    JAPAN, JOAB NHK1 1338 poor signal moderate splatter. bits of Japanese getting through. NW ewe. 10/09/2012

738    TAHITI, Radio Polynesie 1257-1259 fair signal at times with heavy splatter from KCBS. Man/woman in French. W-SW ewe. 10/09/2012

747    JAPAN, JOIB NHK2 1354 weak signal with woman in Japanese. Moderate splatter. NW ewe. 10/09/2012

774    JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 1235 fair signal with moderate splatter. Man/woman in Japanese. Good at 1326 with Radio English Conversation show.  W-SW ewe. 10/09/2012

792    AUSTRALIA, 4RN ABC National 1407-1408 weak signal with woman speaker. Moderate splatter. W-SW ewe. Matched live stream. 10/09/2012

792    UNKNOWN, 1409-1411 piano music when 4RN faded. Very weak signal. W-SW ewe. 10/09/2012


828    JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 1255 poor signal with moderate splatter. // 774. 1347 fair with Japanese. W-SW ewe. 10/09/2012

891    AUSTRALIA, 5AN 1332-1333 fair at times until fade out at 1334. W-SW ewe. 10/09/2012 

1323   UNKNOWN 1307-1310 very poor signal. Talking in unknown language. Splatter free channel. W-SW ewe. 10/09/2012

1575   UNKNOWN 1402-1404 poor signal with talk in ? by male speaker. Moderate splatter. W-SW ewe. 10/09/2012
