Glad to hear that you heard 990 as a Portuguese preacher.  Thought I might
be hearing things.  I did try to parallel the web audio of Radio Alvorada
Gospel in Bahia, what looked like the most obvious candidate, but that was
music vs. the preaching.  There aren't too many other obvious stations, most
in Brazil are much further south.  I would think Brazil's northeast or maybe
the northern part near Venezuela, but not much listed from there, and even
Bahia is a stretch.  I wondered about 990 in Rhode Island, but I think it's
off the air now, and it is listed as Spanish.  I have a lot of Persueus
recordings to go through.

It will take a few days to go through my audio files. We had company up here
at Burnt River ON - this was not meant to be a DX weekend except for the
Chigago Three event. So most stuff is unIDed as I simply let it record on
interesting channels. This is the kind of situation where I wish I had a
Perseus. New catches range from SC and FL to Cuba to Brazil. Some notable
relogs, like 1550 Barranquilla, 1290 Puerto Cabello Venezuela and a 250-watt
daytimer in New Port Richey FL on 1500. AOR 7030Plus with wires on ground
aimed south and southeast (line seems to go through NJ to Venezuela). I am
pretty sure my preacher on 990 nis Brazil. My pln there is to check the web
site if the station has one to see if overnight programming matches the
preacher's style. I think there's a powerhouse Brazilian there. 1220 Globo
makes for a new country here.Saul Saturday
