[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 2-23
Hello All,
Inspired by Walt S. (and his early morning job dedication) I decided to
dedicate a little early morning time to chasing Asian DX. The Asian
sunset period proved to be a bonanza for "big gun" TP signals this
early morning around 1030 UTC (0230 local), with the new 5" FSL
antenna pulling in fairly vibrant Asian signals on a barefoot Tecsun
PL-380 right next to the bed. 828-JOBB even had its best signal here
in over a year using this modest DXing combination. Despite this new
experience, it seems that having a semi-effective DX antenna right next
to the pillow is probably not the best concept for ensuring proper
sleep.
558 JOCR Kobe, Japan Fair with Japanese music and talk at 1018

and music at 1033 http://www.mediafire.com/?m8f6vqrij5va5xs
657 Pyongyang, N. Korea Thankfully weak with tirades and obsolete
music at 1030 (apparently before the best Korean propagation)
747 JOIB Sapporo, Japan Good with Japanese talk in heavy KXL splatter
774 JOUB Akita, Japan Good NHK2 language program at 1100
828 JOBB Osaka, Japan Steady fair-good level; lengthy Japanese
male monolog at 1035 http://www.mediafire.com/?6yrf3ap5kk8arw2
972 HLCA Dangjin, S. Korea Poor-fair Korean music rising above
domestic splatter at 1035
1053 Korean Jammer Best Korean signal at 1019 (and better programming
than 657-Pyongyang) http://www.mediafire.com/?0pky54jpw6ljdap
1134 JOQR Tokyo, Japan Weak Japanese talk in heavy Vancouver
splatter around 1032
1566 HLAZ Jeju, S. Korea Fair-good Korean language religious program
