01-26-12---01:30 PST Victoria BC:  1. If Solar Storm Activity is still affecting skip then that might explain why a Hindu operated station KRPI in Ferndale Wa is so clear and steady tonight ( normally washed out by Vancouver Wa ) If conditions are not changed by solar activity then it sounds like they might not have changed from their 50 Kw day power to normal night power of 10Kw.There's only a trace of the Vancouver Wa station coming through. At this time the 1550 signal is stronger than the presumed 10 Kw of the compeditor on 1600.  If 1550 operations haven't changed then KRPI is normally tightly east-west to the extent that Vancouver Wa. leaks through even in  south Surrey just a few miles from the Canada -Us Border. 
2.CBC R1 Vancouver BC has been granted a permit to change LPRT CBXK 1240 AM Pemberton to FM due to the possible interference from a future cell tower to be installed nearby.
