Thanks Todd...I have some engineer friends here at State Department who are also hams...I will see if they know of any places for filters like the one you mentioned.
That is too bad about the Kiwa Loop. I think even with increased prices, people would line up for it. I have had one for about 10-12 years I guess...and performs beautifully to this day...it looks great too...he did a real professional job on it. People remark on it all the time wondering what it is?? But it looks great....I would be up a creek if it broke!!

My keyboard was not working, nor did the Air Band. It now has a new issue, no more direct entry for bands, I have to scroll it...a pain, but the radio works and he fixed it fine about 2 years ago. G

So I got in touch with "Kelly" at the Sony corporate office in Laredo and got absolutely nowhere. She said that she could not guarantee that they could fix it as they do not carry its parts anymore, but she offered me a "brand new working radio that is comparable". So much for credible customer service. I'm not technically gifted, so I really don't feel like wanting to try to fix things myself. Any suggestions as to where I can go from here?
