Re: [IRCA] noise issue (What about the FCC?)

We just had a smart meter added to my gas meter. I'm curious to see if it
causes more noise but how to isolate? Maybe I should wrap it in aluminum
foil! The noise floor has increased around here in the past couple years.
Shortwave is suffering. I tried LW and I hear few beacons but lots of noise.
MW has lots of noise between the stations that you know is across the band.

Mike, you're right about air cleaners. My wife bought a couple (Sharper
Image, Oreck) and they all get turned off when the radio is on. We got a Wii
for Christmas and it needs to be unplugged! Just about everything that gets
plugged in now is a noise generator.
