I started DX 1963/4 and heard this guy rocking the waves on 10-10 wins which some times puts a decent signal in to the UK. 10-10 WINS & 1510 WMEX were the first NA stations I QSLed. Soon after we got some similar music/presentation on pop pirates like Radio London and Radio Caroline. I recall in those days you got dozens of IDs rather than the current 10 second slot at the TOH. Stations like WINS hooked me on the medium wave (AM) DX scene for 40 odd years!
