[IRCA] Ugh! Nasty QRN Has Appeared on MW Band!

Just noticed this on Saturday afternoon while trying to listen to WWL 870 for latest news on flooding.

Extremely loud buzz totally covering entire MW band (530 -1700 khz). Only locals punching through noise.

Went through perfunctory tests here - switched off everything we could think of - no joy. Noticed on every radio tried.

Guess next step will be to contact Reliant Energy (local electrical provider) & put trouble report into their system.

Any other Houston-area DXers  experiencing same problems as me?
