I'm about 30 miles north of 50,00 WFAN 660 sitting in Long Island Sound, one of the very strongest signals on my dial.
Even with this proximity, WSM is heard nightly.  
This has become an important presence now that the WWVA Jamboree is off the air.
The Blau-Knox tower, combined with nice ground conductivity,  still performs remarkably!
