[IRCA] TP for 26 Mar from Victoria, BC

Pretty nice activity this morning around 1340UT, though mostly gone by 1400. Although the real interest was above 1200 kHz, some of the big guns on the lower channels were there also. Mostly Japanese stations throughout the band.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

774 JOUB but not until 1357UT
1422 JORF at 1348UT w/JJ talk
1566 HLAZ

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

747 JOIB
1224 JOJK //594 JJ talk at 1350UT
1332 JOSF assumed w/mx
1593 JOTB/JOQB //747 at 1355UT; maybe CNR underneath at some points?

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker

594 JOAK
1386 NHK2 //747
1503 JOUK //594

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

828 JOBB seemed //747
873 JOGB seemed //747
972 mx HLCA?
1242 likely JOLF
1287 likely JOHR w/JJ inflected talk
1494 two stations?
1512 two stations? talk seemed //747 so NHK2 synchros
1575 two stations? talk and mx
1602 NHK2 seemed //1386

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

603 maybe w/audio traces, 1314

best wishes,
Nick
