The Aussie X-banders have been heard in North America many times, mostly
by people next to the ocean with Beverage antennas. They came in quite
well here in the days before our own X-band filled up. It's much harder
to hear them these days but it still happens from time to time.

Answers.com site link covering radio stations includes a link to List of Radio Stations in Australia. Some AM stations in the largest cities in Oz are using freqs above 1602 like the X band here and there are quite a few stations on the air on freqs between 1602 and 1701 khz. There was no info on power output.I wonder if anyone here has heard any on this side of the big ocean.
