Sounds similar to what I heard when my wife, son and I were in Poi'pu a few years ago. I won't say it was a long time ago, but as I recall, Canton Is. was still on 1386. I think I spent more time beacon-chasing on LW than I did on MW.

As long as you are there, be sure to drop in to Lappert's and have some macadamia nut ice cream on me (figuratively speaking). It is evil!
