[IRCA] Alberta TPs for 21 Nov 2010

Unlike others I found this morning's TPs quite exciting, and the best of the last while. I'm not sure if it's due to DXing from a bit further north, or just a change in propagation. The audio listed below was heard between 1430 and 1510. I did also listen earlier (well, on at automated basis!), but the only audio at 1100 or 1200 was from Japan on 774. A most unusual morning in that the Aussie on 1548 was doing well, but other than a feeble 4BC, no others were to be found. I had to be careful what I assumed too. When I first noted audio on 1593 I expected it to be China's CNR, which is usually what I get there, but it turned out to be Japan. On the other side I expected the audio on 1422 to be from Japan, but it was not. Not sure what it was. CRI from Kashi is a possibility, but last year I only heard that on a couple of exceptional days. I think the biggest surprise though was hearing audio on 1584, which is pretty much the Asian version of a graveyard channe!

I'd like to be able to say the band is alive with TA's this evening, but no such luck, as we have yet to see any sign of a TA tonight.

This morning's audio:
279 Russia
531 Japan
558 not sure if it was Korea or Japan
567 Japan (better than 594 much of the time)
594 Japan
648 Russia
666 Japan
693 Japan
702 Japan
747 Japan
774 Japan
828 Japan
972 S.Korea
945 likely CNR but too weak to be sure
981 likely CNR1, but couldn't be certain of language
1017 China, CRI in Korean
1026 unID, sounded more Russian than anything
1107 unID, weak with music, 5+1 pips at 1500
1110 KAGV Alaska, the only Alaskan noted
1116 Australia, 4BC
1134 unID, traces of talk by woman
1386 Japan, NHK2 synchros at 1503
1422 unID, seemed to be a Chinese language lesson
1476 unID, traces of Chinese sounding audio, 3+1 pips at 1500
1503 Japan
1521 China, Urumqi, CRI in Russian
1548 Australia, 4QD
1566 S.Korea
1575 traces of presumed VOA Thailand
1584 unID, very surprised to hear about a minute of audio at 1447, as there's nothing of any power here.
1593 Japan, with no trace of CNR
