Re: [IRCA] TP for 21 Nov from Victoria, BC.

Well, Gary...I'm living in hope that we'll have a repeat of November 8, 9 and 10 following in 27 days...so, in early December...maybe. I'll keep listening until then though, even though I'm not so hopeful about the next few days.

best wishes

Hi Nick,

Of course, we have all noticed the serious drop off in Asian DX, in
comparison to two weeks ago. The Fall Season seems to have pretty much run its course, despite our eternal optimism. Last December we still had some serious
TP-DX during the first week (with near nightly appearances of 1575-Farda),
but that superb propagation seems to be a distant memory now.

Having said all that, I'm pretty sure that several fanatics like me will
continue to hope for something more than just fair signals from the "big
gun" TP's tomorrow morning. A more sensible person would probably "declare
victory," and move on :-)

Just sent my loggings for the last several weeks into Patrick for his
DXWWW column. My gosh, there was some good stuff about 2 weeks ago. A whole
different story now. Listened just after 1500 for about 10 minutes, and
except for a couple of likely CNR-1 stations, it was a very slow morning

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at
least
briefly):

828 JOBB at 1509UT, briefly

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable
by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK
1566 HLAZ

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise
could be
understood by a native speaker

747 JOIB
774 JOUB

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at
by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

639 seemed //6030 so CNR-1
1593 also seemed //6030 (delays confuse the issue)

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

945, 1053, 1287, 1575

best wishes,

Nick
