Today I set up my SDR-14 at the WDDZ-550
transmitter site. Two 300' towers spaced 300'
apart. The antenna system is on night pattern
which is a cardioid aimed 168° (SSE). The
SDR-14 is tuned to 550 which is the WDDZ
frequency. The antenna system is connected
through a 6db attenuator directly to the SDR-14.
The primary stations heard are WGR in Buffalo and a SS station, perhaps Cuba.
I sent the audio via a Shoutcast stream server
at my office. Open with Winamp or
equivalent. http://chowdanet.com:1604 Limited to 20 listeners at a time.
The computer at WDDZ is not that powerful and
occasionally drops off. I check it and reset as
necessary. If it's quiet, then I'm sorry. Been
up and running for a few hours now.
Enjoy! Just post what you pull out of this.
