[IRCA] TP DX for Seattle 10-17-10

 This was an interesting morning here.  The NHK powerhouses on 594 693 
747 & 774 had below average strength, but nearly everything else was 
average or better than normal.  For some reason JOHK-891 avoided the 
trend and had a really great signal at 1400.   There were lots of 
interesting und signals on frequencies that are hard to get, like 792 & 
1098.  At one point the KBS station was nearly local like, so much so I 
could listen to it in lower sideband mode with no detectable audio from 
the 970 domestics!

567    JOIK good carrier, but rough copy due to KVI-570 1426 //594
594    JOAB, fair-poor 1355, stayed that way the rest of the morning
648    V of Russia fair w/CC talk 1356
657    Pyongyang fair w/talk in 660 splat, possibly a second station 
mixing w/them but couldn't tell for sure.  Fair w/vocal music 1409
693    JOAB fair w/female pop vocal //774 1357
747    JOIB fair //774
774    JOUB good w/ music //693
792    Unid, fair male talk in Asian lang, sounded more like KK than CC 
but couldn't tell for sure 1411
819    N Korea, female operatic vocal fair in KGNW-820 splash 1418
828    JOBB fair //774 1258
846    weak talk 1435
891    JOHK unusually good w/JJ woman, then pips, and nx in JJ by man 
1400, // much weaker 594
936    China, fair w/mx 1413 1422.  Man & woman in CC 1433.
963    CRI fair w/RR talk 1413
972    KBS good KK talk  1401 1413, monster by signal 1419 stronger than 
970 domestics. Fair w/unid in background 1438.  Still there 1455.
981    CNR1, CC YL good 1421
1008    Carrier visible on SDR display 1402 & het noted a couple of 
times later, but too much KOMO/CBR splash
1026    Unid, YL talk in Asian lang, not //NHK2, likely China
1035    CNR1 fair w/two sets of offset pips 1400, then TC & ID
1044    CRI fair-weak in JJ 1401
1053    Korean jammer fair 1401
1062    Unid, 2 stns, dominant one had YL talk in unid lang 1419
1089    Loud het against local 50kw KPTK-1090 but no audio 1439
1098    Unid w/good carrier, weak audio 1418
1134    3+1 pips 1400 from KBS, o/single tone from presumed JOQR
1170    Woman in Asian lang u/KPUG 1402.  KBS, China or VOA?
1206    Yanbian good w/KK woman & pop vocal song 1406 & 1410.  This is 
consistently my most dependable Chinese station
1404    Unid het 1425, no audio, not often head here
1422    JORF poor w/YL JJ in 1420 splat 1416
1566    HLAZ, fair 1255

Hets and carriers (some with audio taces) were observed on many other 
freqs including 621 639 666 702 729 938 756 837 855 864 909 918 927 945 
1017 1071 1107 1116 1152 1179 1188 1269 1287 1323
