[IRCA] TP for 14 Oct from Victoria, BC

Well, that Asian opening yesterday, such as it was,  was a brief flash in the pan.  This morning was considerably more laid back, with only a couple making the top grade of listening, and that only around 1430UT, after starting at 1345UT, and checking back several times in disbelief at how poor it seemed.



pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

594 JOAK at 1420UT
774 JOUB at 1428; mostly much weaker


reasonable audio  at  times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

none except the above passing through


not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker

747 JOIB at 1351
1287 JOHR at 1420UT
1566 HLAZ not until 1428UT



Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

279 likely R. Rossii
567 JOIB //594
828 JOBB
954 JJ inflected talk at 1426.   JOKR?
963 RR inflected talk, at 1422 //1323, so CRI; these were the best catches of the morning
972 best this one could manage, though good carrier
1017 continues a mystery; two stations there, neither parallel to NHK2 or CRI; woman talking o/u mx
1242 at 1421, JOLF?
1323 CRI //963 at 1422UT
1575 at 1429UT; VoA?



Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
