Re: [IRCA] Ice Road Truckers OT

 Patrick

The original series of Ice Road Truckers took place in the Northwest Territories and had a couple snippets of someone doing a weather report at CFYK Yellowknife.

KFAR is indeed quite tough these days, thanks to all the other stations on the channel. CFFR is quite potent here, plus KAPS and KTNN are also in the mix. I managed to hear KFAR from Walt's place on Haida Gwaii in 2007, but it was difficult considering the distance. I've never heard it at Grayland, even though I've heard KCBF-820 KFBX-970 and KJNP-1170 multiple times. KFAR's nighttime signal may simply not be what it used to be, as I too heard it regularly in the late 60s and early 70s.
