I don't have one of these, Dave, so this is guess work, but I don't think I would use it for a Ewe or Flag or other untuned antenna if you have any reasonably strong local stations. They don't talk about signal handling capabilities, just gain and bandwidth, and with that price and power consumption, I suspect signal handling isn't a priority. Could be wrong however. Anyone know for sure?
(in many applications, a standard sized Flag or Ewe gets a lot of DX without amplification; I don't recall if you already have this sort of antenna, but if not, try one barefoot first, and see what you think)
