[IRCA] TP for 14 Oct from Victoria, BC

Got lazy this morning and didn't start listening until about 1410UT; there seemed to be a peak of sorts at 1425, but I suspect some of that was the "signal to splatter" ratio increasing as the domestics faded. Still had to work at the DX, and most of what was heard was unexceptional, but as Colin noted, there were Chinese today.

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):

594 JOAK
774 JOUB
828 JOBB at 1428UT
1566 HLAZ; unusually steady over the period, not really loud, but very clear
1575 VoA

reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):

603 HLSA // 558 at similar level at 1419UT
747 JOIB
936 mx, likely Anhui? at 1424
945 CNR-1 //5030 at 1425
954 JOKR w/JJ talk
972 HLCA
1593 CNR-1 //5030 at 1426UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:

153//189//279 R. Rossii
567 JOIK //594
963 CRI
1017 CRI in KK //5965 at 1425UT
1134 KK //972
1143 mx; Taiwan?
1422 likely JORF

Burbles in the splatter and noise:

585
675 no // available on 5975, but likely Vietnam
1188
1215
1278
1305
1314
1377 possibly CNR-1, tough to establish parallel with this messy signal
1503 possibly JOUK, but NHK1 parallel becoming difficult by 1430UT

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

1251

best wishes,

Nick
