thanks for your input. Yes we tried the "optimize for performance" on Vista. No change. I clear the 170GB of Wav files daily. What bugs me is that I have been running the set up problem free for 10 months now. Frustrating hi!

I don't have Perseus, but my guess would be that this is unavoidable due to the sheer size of the files.
