Mine is kinda deaf as well. I haven't had time to use it much, yet. In a
couple of weeks I'm tentatively scheduled to meet with some other DXers and
will compare it to theirs.
I have to say that I have never found a portable that has the sensitivity I
would like. Even the rather expensive Sony ICF-100SW isn't that good. A
passive loop does bring it up, but not barefoot.
