Thanks, Powell - I mixed up PL and CR.  Radio dyslexia?  At any rate, it
is indeed the Tecsun CR-1100 I am referring to.  It's currently $80 with
shipping on eBay and Amazon, and since it comes from US distributors you
get a warranty.
