Well, we have to wait and see. I've sent an email to Eton asking whether the G8 includes the Silicon Labs DSP chip used in the PL-300WT.

As for other examples mentioned below, I doubt if the M400 is the Degen DE1123 without the MP3 player - more likely the M400 is just a faceflifted version of the M300; analog tuning with digital readout.
