[IRCA] TP for 22 Mar from Victoria, BC
Listened from 1335 to 1405UT this morning, and by looking at Walt's loggings, I might have missed some later DX, but it sure seemed like things were winding down when I quit. Mostly regular Asians, with a touch of DU.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
747 JOIB at 1336UT....unusual to have this the best of the NHK2 big guns
reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK
612 definitely 4QR with DU EE talk
774 JOUB
828 JOBB
1116 4BC likely with sudden fade up to this level at 1403UT; had been barely discernible DU EE previously
1566 HLAZ at 1340UT (still during Japanese broadcast; lower levels later with the Chinese broadcast)
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
702 2BL at 1359; definite EE talk
972 HLCA underperforming its big carrier
1053 hum with SAH; 1053.0015 kHz this morning; listened over 1400UT, no pips or chimes or..
1134 JOQR likely, as mx not //972 at this time
1287 likely JOHR
Burbles in the splatter and noise:
567 JOIK//594
639 DU direction, big carrier (Fiji?)
648 Russia? Asian direction
738 DU also, Tahiti?
855 4QO/4QB a nice surprise at 1401UT, weak but //612
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
603, 936, 1098DU
best wishes,
Nick
