[IRCA] TP for 15 Feb from Victoria, BC

First, a caveat on yesterday's report. Finally checked the propagation monitor, and it looks like there was actually a good low band peak, but it was earlier than usual and fading rapidly when I checked in.

This morning was a little on the sedate side, listened from 1450 to 1510 UT, and some of the second string stations were appearing again, but weakly, and an unusual visitor was apparent 4BC on 1116.

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):

972 HLCA at 1502...just barely in this category

reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK at 1456
693 JOAB //774 at 1459
774 JOUB at 1455
828 JOBB at 1455

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:

the above, at various times; nothing peaked at this level

Burbles in the splatter and noise:

567 JOIK //594 at 1456
639 didn't seem China per direction or //5030, and no pips across hour, didn't "sound like" Fiji, and really too murky to tell otherwise;
738 Asiatic bearing, murky talk and a hum, 738.037, 738.005, 738.000, 737.999....quite a mess
747 JOIB //828 at 1502UT
936 likely Anhui per direction
1116 4BC per direction and EE inflection to talk
1134 South Korea //972 at 1459
1287 likely JOHR at 1454

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1008, 1089, 1098 mostly DU, 1206, 1566

best wishes,

Nick
