why, yes....about 50 years ago...CBU used to announce its shortwave call letters also: "shortwave CBUX" I think. As a small child, I couldn't understand how the "short way" of saying CBU could possibly be CBUX, so obviously wasn't a DXer at that time. That's since been clarified, though there are perhaps still other aspects of the grownup world that remain mysterious.
