[IRCA] TPs from Orcas Isl. Nov 11 + 12

Gad, I think that I forgot to report yesterday, too.

The 11th was an above average morning here, with both the top band and the bottom open. The more interesting things were a full ID, chimes and time pips on Mayak 576; there were three adjacent, 873 Kumamoto, Japan VERY strong, 882 STV Synchros//Sapporo 1440... a rare catch and probable KBS Pusan, S.K. on 891. I also had 1269 Synchros //1287 Sapporo.

This morning was an entire other story.... quite poor, especially above 972 (Walt, you quit at the right place this AM). Above 972, there were nine threshold audios, and most of them were imaginary level. There was no audio at all above 1377. Oddly, the very bottom of the band, from 639 down, was wall-to-wall audio at quite decent levels. I was so excited by that activity that I dropped down to LW (which I normally ignore) and there was NUTHIN! Not even QRM on most channels below 189. Steve Ratzlaff did quite well on LW, so I presume that my much more northerly (and westerly?) location must have been to blame.

Well, I've got four more mornings before we fold our tent and steal away into the night toward the South Prairie. Here's Hoping!
