Re: [IRCA] TA Aug 29 Alberta

Yes, I do still have the beverages out at my other site, though as a result of a wicked summer storm several are in need of repair. When everything is in order, and the site is accessible, I do have a 1000' beverage at about 35 degrees , which is my main TA antenna. Here at home I normally use the K9AY, which bagged me nearly all my Euro DX last year. It's out of operation too, for a few more days, so I've had to use my 300' wire which is pretty much omnidirectional.

I'm in IL now and using my western BOG's which aren't for TA whatsoever, but there's been a decent het from 999 (only Spain ever heard) on local WMVP etc. I may make it to my WI place by Lake Michigan which is lots better for TA's and aim BOG's NE for them next week at some point if the T-storm static calms down for once.

Anyhow cx from here to the west were decent with KOFI in decently early and near entertainment level as long as I was diligent about adjusting phasing to nail the WHAM SAH at 21:33 CDT and Alberta's in soon after with CFAC 960 rising up well around 21:43

A good number of carriers noted down here in southern Alberta too. Solid ones on 1215 and 1134, decent on 1377 and 1422, and numerous weaker ones. Nothing with audio on my 300' wire though. Hoping to get my K9AY operational again by the end of the long weekend, so look for a big dip in conditions!
