Re: [IRCA] Legalized Bevereges

OK since a 100 ft straight mini BOG is out of the question, and your bends will destroy the directivity anyhow and make it rather random, you may just want to run the wire thru the trees in that big loop around your lot. I had a pie shaped lot when I lived in San Diego in the 80's and that worked fine and I'd phase on end of the wire vs the other end to do my nulling.

Desk top small loops null at 90 degree angles to their main pick up and are not going to do well when the difference in bearings is about 180 degrees between the DX and pest. As an example, with a phased wire setup you should be able to phase null WBBM west of you to hear CFDR east of you. Sure, stuff from the south will come in, but there's not anything really strong on 780 at night near Detroit from the south, AFAIK, and you should be able to get CFDR on good nights thru whatever R.Coro et al QRM may be present.

However, if you null WBBM with the loop, you'll null CFDR quite a lot also, and the loop's wide main beam will be directed southerly and I'd expect R. Coro.

I have turns and bends in mine. You have to go with what you've

I agree with going with what you have. If I go straight from the east side
of our house, I'll have 20 feet. If I go to the back of our propety, I could
squeeze in about 75'. But if I can go to the back corner of our pie shaped
lot, do the 120 degree turn, then 200 feet would be no problem. And I have a
500 foot and a 1000 foot spool of wire just waiting to be used.
