Dave Hochfelder has had some success phasing a Quantum QXPro against an indoor wire loop strung around the room. He uses a Quantum phaser.

Hopefully someday there will be a good phasing system for indoor DXers. .. ie something like a Quantum Loop used as default for a figure 8 pattern, and then with the Q adjusted lower phased against a good whip for a cardioid pattern.
