[IRCA] A further note on WBGS
They are not yet very comfortable with the new format-commercials tend to
run well into the songs. They never did seem to have a shortage of ads.
Has the station been sold? Somehow conservative talk and gospel make more
sense on a station owned by a group which also owns non-commercial gospel
FMs in the area than rock oldies. Calls are the same, though, and I'm not
yeet sure whether they've dropped the few gospel programs they still carried
on the weekends, though they're not advertising them. This change means the
two stations in that area, WJEH, 990, Gallipolis, and WBGS both play oldies.
WJEH just plays older, less up-tempo oldies (adult standards).
